Sam here! I am two months old today… Happy Birthday to me! I decided to wear my birthday suit to celebrate…

My mom told me not to brag about all the things that I can do (now that I am TWO months old and all), but maybe a little bragging wouldn’t hurt…

  • I can go through four diapers in one diaper change…that’s right….four!
  • I can spit up my entire meal just seconds after eating it…
  • Since I can spit up so well, I can also have my clothes changed anywhere from 3-4 times a day!
  • I can burp and sound like a grown man at the same time!  It’s awesome…ok, now I am just bragging!
  • I can smile when my parents play with me and squeal really loud when I want something!

Second month of life has been great…just keeps getting better and better! I have met so many new friends!  Let me introduce them to you…

I also got two new gifts that I want to show you…this shirt is from my “Aunt” Cristi who is a missionary with her family in Portugal.  Cristi and my mom have been friends since they were my age and I can’t wait to meet her one day!  This is my first International gift!

(I’m glad Molly knows how to knit ’cause every time my mom tries to knit me something, she ends up going to Target and buying me something instead!)

Since I turned two months, my momma told me that I had to get some shots to help protect me from diseases…how bad could it really be, I thought?  I will spare you the details.  My parents said I handled it like a champ!   Here are some pictures of the memorable *painful* visit…

The incredible, Dr. Mackey!  I like her…she tells my mom to chill out about all of her first-time mommy worries!

Now on to more fun topics.  My parents say that I am getting SO much more expressive and fun these days…don’t just take my word for it, I have proof…

I’m so excited about this upcoming month!  Turning three months old is going to be lots of fun!  Here are some of the exciting things I am looking forward to:

  • Meeting my cousin Colin, Aunt Melinda, & Uncle Ryan when I go to Texas in a few weeks!
  • Celebrating Colin’s 1st birthday with him!
  • Meeting all of my momma’s family and friends in Houston!
  • Going to the lake on a retreat with all of my Daddy’s students!
  • Being dedicated at Bethlehem Baptist Church on September 12th!
  • Going to the Minnesota State Fair!
  • Going to Small Group with my parents and playing with all of my new little friends that are my age!
  • Going to the Farmers Market with my mom as many days as we can before it gets cold!

Well, it is getting late so I better get to bed… I want to be well rested in order to wake my parents up in a few hours!  This is going to be fun!

Goodnight,

Sam
