If there is one book from this list to add to your collection, it would definitely be A House is a House for Me, we loved it! Another book I personally enjoyed (although it didn’t seem to thrill Sam too much) was June 29, 1999. This delightful little book about growing vegetables reminded me so much of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and had lovely illustrations.
A few other favorites that we’ll be reading again and again: Press Here, King Jack and the Dragon, Piggies and Kitten’s First Full Moon.
