A Merry Christmas from our family to yours…

December 4, 2012

The Christmas spirit is in full-swing at our home these days.  Christmas cards have gone out, the tree is decorated, stockings are hung, the Jesse Tree is filling up, and we plan to make a gingerbread house tomorrow.

One thing we didn’t anticipate this season, though, was how much Sam would take to the Christmas story (as was seen the other day when he turned his wagon into a manger and climbed in).  Joe and I scratched our heads a bit when he declared, “Look!  I’m Jesus!

“It’s harmless”, we thought. Until today when Sam grew impatient waiting for Joe to come out of church so we could go home.

Sam threw up his arms declaring, “DADDY, COME FORTH!”

I mean, we do desire our son to be like Jesus, this just isn’t exactly what we had in mind.

A Merry Christmas to you and your family!  May it be filled with much love, the nearness of Jesus, and homes full of laughter.
